  • Service referencing exposed

All the code that has been exposed in the two part articles related to service referencing (part 1 & part 2) in a service oriented architecture (SOA) has been integrated into a single assembly:

    NetFxFactory.ServiceReferencing.dll.

This will hopefully help users get their hands on the concepts covered by the articles.

The source code is available here and contains few samples for both UDDI and WS-Discovery.

Based on the feedback we get, we may move this code to Codeplex.

  • GuidMarket: Get your unique identifiers today!

IT market is an ogre whether that is at hardware or software level. We consume an ever increasing amount of software and the number of peripherals is growing from the kitchen to the office. Very few people foresaw this growing appetite for unique identifiers, how many company names have been conditioned by the fact their associated (unique) domain is available?
The WWW does not avoid the real estate crisis. The size of our databases never stops growing; they absorb unique identifiers like Cetacean avid of plankton. This greediness hides a growing evil. Indeed, most software references the smallest piece of information most of the time by a unique identifier despite of its decay.
Friends, who can evaluate the remaining part of unused Guids? Guids are dying! this situation is aggravated by a particular reproduction mechanism.
Even if it is obvious that it is time to reason ourselves, think about your next developments. Adopt Guids! As fast as possible get various representatives of this species before quotas are imposed to us. Act! And act fast!

I invite you to benefit from the current commercial offer suggested by the GuidMarket company which is at this very moment delivering  guids without any financial contribution.

    Informations
GuidMarket has been developed on top of SilverLight (WPF/E).

Source code as well as a technical review is proposed on Chaz’s blog.
